There are literally hundreds of tools that webmasters use in their profession when creating websites and maintaining the status that they’ve achieved. All of these tools are designed to help them do their job, as well as keep tabs on the work that they have done and are doing currently. One of these tools is called a Page Rank Checker, or PR Checker for short. If you have never used a PR Checker before then the first thing you must know is that they are very important to the people who use them and many people use them as a way to gauge their progress of a specific website they have already created.
What a PR Checker Does
Before we explain what a PR Checker does, even though it’s pretty obvious, the first thing you might want to know is how PR got started. Without getting into the specifics and nuts and bolts of the process, the simple answer to that question is that Page Rank is a tool that Google uses in order to rank the millions of websites that Google has in its search engine. Of course, the algorithm of doing just that and influence of Google’s way eventually caught on to other major search engines, but Google is usually credited with starting it. A PR Checker, though, helps webmasters determine the ranking of their website within Google’s search engines.
Why PR Checkers are Important
There are many reasons why someone might want to know what their website ranks within Google. First, a webmaster may be able to improve his or her website if he or she knows the rank of the site. Other search engine optimization techniques could be used, as well as a few other tools if the webmaster himself determines that he wants a better Page Rank. Second, though, a PR Checker can be used to verify information if a specific website is going to be bought or sold. For example, someone who is about to purchase a website that claims to have a high PR will naturally want to verify that the information is correct! Whatever the case, though, PR Checkers are so very important to webmasters in their profession; thousands of people use them everyday and they are the ultimate tool that webmasters use in order to help them determine what to do in case they’ve been given a low ranking!
